The CEO of Cross Roads Publishing House struggled to find an agent or a traditional publisher in the market to pick up a new and starting author. Her first 70k words turned into 130k, and the final product was polished to shine, receiving praise from alpha readers, beta readers, and other independent authors.
This is the struggle most new authors will face. It’s a rarity to see someone new and fresh in the industry leap to the top of the charts in traditional publishing, and even more difficult a task to convince the publishers that your work is worth the risk.
Independently published authors have been taking the sales market by storm, competing alongside traditional publishers in online sales and ebook sales. The market has opened up for growth, but independent authors struggle balancing affordability, marketing, and success. The same struggle we faced when publishing our books independently; leading us to the creation of CRPH.
